• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well, it was time. Wanted to continue to ride with my brother, but we both decided to go from 2 to 3 wheels - he triked - I went 2014 Rt-S. Delivered today and took it out for a short spin (after some practice at a parking lot). Only tried to counter-steer once - :yikes: THAT got my attention. A different kind of animal this Spyder...... I think I am going to love it.

Glad to here you bought a roadster. Where did you buy it from Ohio or Ky ? Mine is in the shop for 14k service I should have it back some time next week. Send me a PM and we can get together and ride. I know and ride with some people from Alexandria Ky. Looking forward to hearing from you. Ride Safe & Long !

Counter steering a Spyder on the freeway will cause a true adrenalin rush. I know this from personal experience.

:congrats: and welcome to being a "Rock Star" add some question and answer time to each trip that you take as there are normally many people who will come up and ask you questions.

Welcome and Be Safe

Congrats!

:welcome::congrats: enjoy your new Spyder.....much different than two wheels! Traded my 2 wheels into Spyders about 2 years ago....love it!:yes::yes:

Look over this and see if it may help (this helped me when I changed from 2 wheels to Spyders):

Note: it needs a little updating for the 1330 ACE and new transmission in the 2014's RT's....

Don't forget to put equal pressure on the front break handle and rear break pedal when stopping. And make sure the kickstand is locked in place before you dismount (just kidding you):roflblack: I got knocked off an old Harley and can't get back on a two wheeler. You will love the ride when you get used to it. Remember when the LD (long distance) bug bites you there is no cure.:yikes: Have a Safe Ride and Ride Long!

my brother and I were in the same place as you having ridden 2 wheelers for a long time

the hardest part we found was the first week or two on the Spyder and trying to overcome the muscle memory stuff from riding 2 wheels.... we would come home with sore arms, shoulders, etc, because our bodies want to ride it like a 2 wheeler.... lol

Give yourself some time to learn to ride the Spyder properly and you will never want to go back to two wheels. I love the comfort, the fun of the ride and the storage. Welcome to the fold!
