There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Freedom Cycle, NH BRP Factory Demo Tour

I went up there today. I had not registered for a ryde as I was not convinced they would have the RT. Figured on the weekdays I could get a ryde impromtu if I wanted. Sure enough, no RT to sit on or demo.

I know some NH people have registered to ryde this Saturday will be disappointed. I was. Oh well. They didn't even have 2010 model brochures. Only 08 and 09 stuff.

Freedom Cycle did have an 08 Full Moon SM5 with backrest for 13,999. Also a red 09 SM5. Didn't notice the price on that.

I would have thought they would have at least had brochures and info. But they had nothing new at all. The place looked dead. One person signing up to go out on a ryde. That's it. Kind of a waste of time.

Thanks for the update.

I signed up for the demo for Saturday a couple of weeks ago.

Today I suspected there would be no RT so I called this morning around 10:30 or so. I got an answering machine and left my number to call. No call yet.

I will likely not show up if they don't call me back. It is about 100 miles one-way for me to go there and would not go unless there is an RT to ryde.

I was told that the Demo Tour will not have the RT any time before November.
I was told something similar...late October at the earliest. They are not promising delivery of the Premiere Edition RTs before March 31, 2010, although they are hoping to start deliveries by December.

March????:gaah: Granted you aren't likely to be doing a lot of riding mid winter in Michigan or North Dakota or other northern climes. But still, March? and they want your deposit now?:yikes:

I went to Freedom Cycle yesterday; no RT. I did finally get to demo an SE5, and I was really impressed. Now, in spite of what I've been telling myself for the past few months, I want the SE instead of the SM.

I was kinda peeved that there was no RT. The people from BRP were friendly and helpful, though. One surprise is that no one from Freedom was on hand to try to turn a demo ride into a sale. :dontknow: Missed opportunity, IMHO...

Hey Keith, You're right next door to me!

Have you ridden an SM5? That's what I have if you need a try.

Pop me a PM if you want to meet up.

The guaranteed delivery date in the Premiere Edition certificate is March 31, 2010. After that you can get a refund of your deposit if you wish to cancel the order. In other words, all PEs are expected to be delivered before then. BRP did much the same with the first Premiere Edition Spyders. If you wanted one, you put down your money and waited. The dealer doesn't even see this money, as it must go straight to BRP. Just the way they prefer to do business...take it or leave it. It really doesn't matter whether it comes in December, January, February, or March. There will be little or no riding on Michigan's salty roads during that period. Wouldn't matter if I could get it tomorrow...my new knee is not going to allow me to ride for a few more weeks, and probably not comfortably for a few months. Did I say I really, really, really wanted an RT? :D

Yeah, I'm getting that!!! It sure sounds nice. I hope you and Nancy get lots of enjoyment either riding it together or each your own!!!:congrats:

Hi Marilyn,

My wife and I tried the SM5 at HK in Hooksett, and then we each took a turn on the SM5 and SE5 (RS actually, if I can believe the decals on the bikes), yesterday at Freedom Cycle. I liked both, but I was really impressed with the SE. Very smooth, and I enjoyed just keeping my left foot stationary. The SM5 I rode had a Hindle; I liked the sound it made. I also noticed more heat on my right foot from the SM5. The BRP rep said that it was because of the fog lights :hun:

We are still trying to figure out exactly what to get - my wife wants a yellow; I like the look of the white, but would like to see the blue in person. Then it's just a matter of finding a dealer who is willing to negotiate....

NH Spyder Ryders

I too was planning on a trip to Freedom, to look first hand at the 2010 RT. disappointing but not unexpected that they did not yet have one...

I have tweaked my 09SE for better foot peg touring position, and now have it just right. (I'm 6ft, 285#) Happy to share and provide "demo" rides for my configuration. I love the SE and have 2000+miles in just 10 weeks of ownership.

Keith, what I know about the fog lights is that they fill a hole that while empty of the lights provides airflow into the engine. So it figures that with the holes blocked by fog lights that the engine is hotter.

This is a guess on my part. But it makes sense. My Spyder doesn't have fog lights and runs hot enough for my liking in over 90 degree weather. :gaah:
