• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Free Hat?

Happened to be close by so I stop at my local dealer to pickup my free hat. Seems they new nothing about it and did not have any available. I don't much care about the hat since I already have one, but one would think that if BRP was going to do something like this they would let their dealers know and supply them with the goods.

I got my hat yesterday, the dealer only had two (now they only have one)

The other two dealers on my area did have any hat at all.
 
We went to our dealer (Honda East Toledo Ohio) to pick up our 6 spoke rims that they have on sale (on e-bay) $375 per pair--went over to parts dept to pick them up.....We we showed the hat coupon to our friendly parts guy.(he didn't have a clue or a hat in stock.) .....handed me a book --said-- pick out a hat of your choice and I will order it for you, and mail to you when it comes in ....This is how we have been treated from day one since we purched our :spyder2:and the reason why we continue to go to them ..even though they are 200 miles away...........They are #1 for us. :2thumbs:

I think this should be E-mailed to all dealers althought I don't hold them responsible, it sure is great business.

Free hat

Little off topic, but close. I never got the coupon for the hat, but Mackeymouse did, and told me she would send me her coupon as she did not want it. Then turned out she threw it away, so she mailed me the hat that she had at home. Just goes to show how great Sypder owners are, and a BIG thank you to Mackeymouse. In my book Mackeymouse is :2thumbs::2thumbs::2thumbs:
 
I've given up on the hat! I can't even get the coupon or whatever to redeem it. Bought a couple of my own. Sure beats the stress of trying to bargain with BRP.

GOT MY HAT!!! After almost a three month wait, the free hat has arrived. Dealer had seven free hat certificates turned in and BRP finally sent them three. Talk about the slow boat from China. And before you weigh in with "it's only a hat", it was never about the hat. It was about BRP marketing offering products, parts and accessories that they do not have available. The dealer ordered them individually, in blocks, different colors, etc to try to get something shipped. When the system catches up, they will probably end up with 20 hats.
 
I think they ARE made in China .... and if they don't give out all the freebies, they'll probably end up on eBay. :roflblack:

Yes they are a product of China, and I hate to say it, but they are very well made. Nice embroidery on cap and embroidered "Y" on the bill with an embosed BRP logo snap on the back.

:agree: I know Our parts dep. here would walk off and leave you standing if you asked them about it. They really could give a rats arse less nojoke
