• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi again, I found this plug by the antifreeze tank. Any idea what it is for/does? I have the black cover off of the bike in the frunk, would that hurt anything? Thanks Mike

that plug

Looks like the BUDS connector for diagnostics.
I agree , and mine has the same number on the TAG that yours has .... and it is what they use to connect your Spyder to the BUDS computer to analyze everything .........Mike

Agree...

:agree: looks like the last one to use it didn't put it back. Should have a slot it fits into..:dontknow:

There is an empty recptacle, actually just a square hole, just forward of the radiatror cap into which the plug is supposed to go when not plugged into B.U.D.S.

Thamks, I was hoping it plugged into a super charger that I could pick up cheap:joke::D Thanks, Mike

It could plug into one Mike, & I just happen to have a 'super' charger here that you could buy cheap.....

Definitely won't do anything good for your Spyder's performance, but you can get it cheap & that plug will plug into it! :roflblack: :joke:

Some Spyders have two plugs. The one with about 6 wires is the BUDS plug and belongs in that pocket JayBros mentioned. The other has about 3 wires and is an auxiliary diagnostic connector. Don't worry about it.

Whats that mean and what is it to me. Thanks, Mike
BRP Utiltiy Diagnostic System. The computer program dealers use to ferret out all the secret information your Spyder accumulates while you drive it, like engine RPM vs gear, error codes, your grandmother's birthday, your secret girl friend's phone #, and on and on! Just kidding on the last two! :roflblack::roflblack:
