• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New update! Talked to Forrest and he was west of Tallahassee, Fl having lunch with fellow Spyder Lovers. He still feels great and is having the time of his life knowing how everyone is watching out for him. Getting to meet other Spyder Lovers has been a great inspiration.

I personally can't express enough how pleased I am to be part of this forum. It's not about the Spyder as much as it is about great fellowship with other owners. When you observe other forums for other vehicles you won't find this kind of action not even forums for Spyders.

The rewards are much greater when you put others ahead of yourself and try to do what's right.

When I met Lamont I set back and observed, even though he was sick for the first couple days he was all about the Spyder Ryder and not about himself. Yeah, he has a great Spyder with many innovations yet still makes others first.

At the Red Carpet Event he actually missed out on the Bob's Big Boy event as he was trying to get an owners Spyder running so she could ride to all of the events on Saturday. Believe it or not another forum owner actually had the gall to criticize him as he was working on the Spyder, saying in front of others that he missed out on a great event and shouldn't have been there working on a Spyder. Bless you Lamont!

I guess I just had to say a couple words on such a wonderful day of celebration to also celebrate Spyder Lovers and their patriotism to each other.

NOW, go blow up some fireworks!

I had a blast this morning. I met up with Forrest in Mobile. We had a nice conversation as he was packing up. We left the motel about 8:15 and got caught by a traffic light. We hit I-65 South to I-10 east and 71 miles later at 9:08 we pulled into the planned rendezvous in Pensacola.

We met up with Bill, Steven , Dudley and Jennifer. We all signed the banner that Dudley and Jennifer have and visited about an hour. I can say it was a very enjoyable experience meeting fellow Spyder Lovers. I know it has been said before, but I'll say it again. The Spyder Lovers and Ryders community camraderie is IMHO the best.

We all hail from different parts of this Great Nation, have different views and opinions. We don't always agree with each other. But we do love our Spyders and that common thread has brought together the best group of ryders.

It was an honor for me to ryde with Forrest today. I wish I didn't have to work tonight, so I could have made the trip with Bill and Steven to Lake City to meet up with Doc.

I look forward to meeting more of you fabulous and fantastic Spyder Lovers in Gatlinburg.:2thumbs:

Jennifer and I left Franklin, LA yesterday morning at 6 AM. Our plans were to ride to Monore, LA for the grand and great-granddaughters meeting, which we did. It was a 3 hour meet, but was great. We had then planned on swinging to Pensacola, FL for a banner signing with Bill and whoever he could round up, scheduled for noon today. In the afternoon, just south of Jackson, MS Bill told me about the Forrest run. Now our meet, if we wanted to still do it, was 9 AM today. I told Bill we would be there. So we pushed to Hattiesburg, got a motel at 9 PM, woke up at 4 AM, were on the road by five and were at the DQ before 9 AM. Had a great meet and signing. We enjoyed meeting everyone. Today we shut down at 130 PM in Evergreen, AL.

Glad to hear he's doing good. I was worried about him. I hope I'm still riding when I'm his age. :doorag:
