• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Foreign Corrupt Practices Act

Nice article...This is just like what was reported by ABC (I think) 5 or 10 years ago where Wal-Mart was using it's influence and black mailing companies in to meeting Wal-Marts price even if it was below the manufacturers own cost...Just more corporate BS....

I don't condone what they did, but that is how business gets done in Mexico. I'm sure you have heard stories of people getting stopped by Mexican police and then paid a "bribe" to get out of trouble. My brother was on vacation in Mexico several years ago and the Policia took some of his vacation gear while he was at the beach. He told them that they couldn't do that and their reply was basically what are you going to do about it. Either we take your stuff or you can go to jail.

Companies bribe politicians in this country all of the time. Why do you think there are lobyists in D.C. and why do you think the wealthy donate to specific candidates to later get appointments to diplomatic positions or some kind of kick back for their company/business. Even the state and local governments get pressured from special interest groups to pass zoning laws or enforce some other law that is beneficial to the special interest group. It happens all of the time in our country too, but they aren't called bribes.

:agree:

and :wrong:

I am pretty sure that any company doing business in another country has to "play the game" to get the proper licences, permits, favorable businss conditions, etc. There is a law against all this--but who obeys the laws? Like Trump says: "It's just business". :roflblack:
