• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

And think LA is it
Last week I took a ride to Tioga pass [20 miles from my house]
over to Yosemite National Park

Gave up on trying to rotate pictures
Wasn't easy to have the waterfalls go sideways :roflblack:
Then today took a trip over Sonora pass [17 miles from my house]

Stopped at Darnel's for lunch with about 200 Harley guys
They had some kind of gathering from Jamestown there
So California is not all concrete

Thanks for pics Ill get ther some day :2thumbs::pray: & those are the type of locations i want to see. Is there a area close to there good for hiking, camping as well?

Yosemite is great, very, very scenic; did a lot of hiking. I'm assuming the pictures you posted were not actually in Yosemite, but on the way to it.

You mention LA. There is a great hiking trail there, IMO. It's Runyon Canyon, and if you can find a local before starting the hike, they may show you the back way into the trail, if you like something more difficult.

The first post is the 2 of waterfalls in Yosemite Valley and the sign at the top of Sonora Pass
the second post is the East side of Sonora Pass

I remember that country. Absolutely beautiful. I went to a mountain leadership school close to there back in the day. I swear all the roads around there only go uphill. I was in the Marines and the school taught mountain climbing, escape and evasion. I can remember hiking with our climbing gear 3.5 miles every morning up those damn hills for rock climbing training. It would be nice to go back to that area.

Yes the Marine Corp. winter survival training camp is at the bottom of Sonora pass
When ever I travel somewhere I am always changing elevation anywhere from 2,500 to 10,000 feet
But 2014 RT handles it great
