• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

For those of you considering driver floorboards...

A little experimenting with your foot (as I'm sure most of us have discovered) makes buying the $500 floorboards unnecessary.

If you just leave the front of your foot on the peg and pivot your ankle, you can rest your heel on the peg support bar and have a level, flat support. Wouldn't want to drive like that all the time, but it is a good alternate position for a change on longer rides. Also, you can completely remove your feet from the pegs and rest them on the peg support bar...just another option.

Also, with the pegs, there are stretch positions that would be difficult with the floorboards. I'm Just saying.....

(BTW, my pegs are in position 5--all the way forward--but I assume this would work for other setups.)

Gotta love these massive foot pegs!

Choices choices..!!

I am not a fan either. The F3 with its new ryding position seems the least likely one for floorboards. But many like them and will put them on every ryde they have with the exception of crotch rokets...:roflblack: I don't even have highway pegs, but then I'm only 6'1" on an RS. They do make nice boards not all that expensive and some diy'ers have done great work. I like the added break away feature for safety...whatever makes your ryde comfortable :thumbup:

I choked on BRP drivers floorboards price, but they are absolutely the best accessory for the F3s IMHO!! They let you move your feet around to several positions for comfort on long rides, without being in one position like the footpegs. Couldn't be more pleased!!
:clap::clap:

I love the pegs too . . . .

. . . . it is to each his own, but I think that floorboards on a F3 belong just like a kickstand does.

With the floorboards you can move your foot up and back to different positions. And the pressure is spread over the entire foot, and not pressing on one spot.

The original is better than the old small pegs (on my GS), but the floorboards are well made, heavy / solid and move to the same length peg position selected.

When I dig into a twisty, I love those pegs. Brace one side, turn the handlebar and zoom... here comes the smile.

On the highway, set the cruise control and rest my boot on the peg with fully extended legs. Feels like I am on a lay-z-boy in my living room.

Foot Boards

I have them...and they are worth it. I don't find myself accidentally resting my foot on the break and the cruise position of them being flat it the best. Super comfy and so far the best add on (next to having the passenger backrest).
