For Slice - RT Brake Pedal Mod Photos

Slice, here are some photos of my brake pedal mod. There’s an “after” pedal top photo and side photo, and the rear of the stock rubber assembly….. Hope this helps…. and to those wondering, I have experienced zero issues accessing and applying the pedal, even in its stock metal form, in either wet or dry. I have since added a 1/8th rubber pad to the top of it which works a treat, even for size 15 boots :thumbup:

Being a goose with a failing memory, I took them in portrait mode, resulting in them appearing sideways……but I don’t think they require reorientation :gaah:

That peg setup was necessitated by very long legs, Slice. I tried Lamont’s highway peg setup for the RT, but because my legs are well bent on the boards, and my boot toes hang slightly over the front of the boards, my legs kept the same bend when on the pegs and my boots were simply lifted higher….served no purpose.

I took Lamonts brackets and turned them upside down, drilled one extra hole in the floorboard and fastened the brackets that way. The bottom of the pegs are still well above the low points of the RT, so there is no danger of road contact, but it just gives me an extra stretch position. You need to have bloody long legs to use them though.

HOWEVER, I have only used them twice, and on my last longer ride (5 hours each way), I did not feel the need to use them at all, as the long floorboards allow you to shuffle boot position around a bit and stay comfortable.

i have to have lamont floor boards and even without the extensions my toes will touch the fenders.
i'm going to find a set of pegs and adapt them to the lamont boards, i really wish i did more research before i dropped all that coin on something that is useless for me.
