For those guessing this may or maynot help...
View attachment 155124 Now to find out how it will change ...... things :dontknow:
front upper shock mounts?
... I'm so pleased when the smart folks here " Get It ":clap::clap:........ you're right on both answers ..... Mike :thumbup:These are the Shock Relocator's that BK has designed, and the needed cutouts to clear the new shock angle. Right?????
My earlier Bracket version, had a 4 1/4 in. :yikes:change ........ So when I had to trim the plastic to accommodate the Angle change .... I had to take more plastic so they would fit ..... I made new templates using a 3 1/4in. jar lid so I would get a smooth curve and taped them onto the Tupperware to show what would need to be removed for shock clearance ..... The upper Tupperware ( for a GS or RS ) when it's on the Spyder won't actually show the cut-out because of the angle of the Tupperware ...... Thanks Gene .......Mike :thumbup:...........PS I'm making progress with the PICs thing .... These were sent to Gene's phone from my phone :clap:Jeez, some are pretty quick on the uptake! Thanks for the pics Chupaca; & thanks Mike, I'm looking forwards to testing the Spyder out wearing them!
That was added to RSS models from the earlier GS model .... But they are essentially the same shape .... The upper piece of " Tupperware " , won't apply to your RT ..... I didn't get a tracking #, so I have no idea how close it is to delivery ???? ......sending a PM .....Mike :thumbup:I've sourced my jar lid already  But I do think there are some (minor ) differences in the plastic - mine doesn't have that raised air-flow deflector at all - not that it looks like that'll make much difference... the placcy bits on the 'A' arms still appear to need trimming to accommodate the more upright shocks. Easy peasy!
In brief - my bracket moves the shock towards the wheel from the TOP .... this changes the angle to a more up-right position ... according to a " Shock engineer " this increases the Firmness of the OEM shock .... ( this is different from STIFFNESS - which will produce a Harsher ride ) ... my brackets retain the OEM coil length because of the way I designed them .... ( too complicated to explain ) .... So under Normal riding conditions my brackets still retain the softer compliance of an OEM shock ( nice on a bumpy road ) ... but will provide MUCH better handling in the Twisties ... This is the best explanation I can give in less than 5,000 words :roflblack: ......... hope this answers your question ..... Mike  ....... and NO - I am not selling them at this point ......What is the purpose of relocating the shocks? Just curious.
.....as if Aawen would use something that was generally available and didn’t give him an edge.....
Mine are in the mail....:yes: will test them and compare with the Pitt bull ones I currently have....
Now, now Bill... I'm making progress .... the pics He posted were sent to Him by ...." ME "...... Mike :thumbup:Hope that you take pixs and a video, as we know that we will freeze in hell, before mike produces any.
