There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. For all the tall riders who ride an RT

I have been kicking this around since I bought my RTS back in March. I'm kinda tall at 6' 2" and the riding position on the Spyder is not ideal for tall folks, knees are bent backwards some when riding and I just feel cramped on the bike. I don't know if the Comfort seat, this moves the rider about 2" back further, will be the best money spent or if the floorboards would be a better option to help with this problem. I know there are many tall Spyder riders out there and I'm asking all you taller guys to give me some input as to what options helped you the best. I have just mention 2 options so maybe there are other options that I haven't mentioned that work for you. Please tell me your height and what option helped you to relax your legs on the RTS the most. Thanks.

My comfort seat is on the way. I am 6'4" and I will let you know if it was worth it for me.

I am considering floorboards but you still have to move your foot back to operate the break and in my case for the SM5, my left foot to shift. Additionally, there seems to be only one maker of floorboards for the SM5 :(
Thus I am going for the seat first and then the backrest.

Keep me informed as to how you like it and if the seat gives you added comfort or not. I do have an SE5 so I don't have to worry about the shifter, only the brake:yikes:.

I'm 6'4" and have the comfort seat - it helps (a little)

I got the Madstad foot pegs (which are no longer manufactured) and that helped, but still.... something is missing/wrong.....

my brother is shorter than me and has standard highway pegs and I sat on his Spyder but the pegs put my feet out rather than up and in

I have been looking at floor board solutions and right now I am focused on the Diamond R driver board with foot pegs since it looks like the addition of the pegs on their board would put us tall folks feet further forward (more forward than the Madstads that I have)

sometimes I find myself riding like I am on a crotch rocket with my feet back on the front of the passenger boards (one option of moving my feet around to relieve cramping)

NBVs

6'6" here. I really like my NBVs. They allow me to stretch on the highway. I also have Inspector Gadgets footboards. I like them as well but the really don't do much for stretching. As far as a seat is concerned, I use the Russell Day-Long just as I did on my GS. IMO there is no better seat.

can you post a picture of your setup please

most interested in seeing your leg position on the NBV's (hopefully you have someone who can take a picture of you on the bike... lol)

Im interested in seeing the difference between the NBV's and the Diamond R with the peg extension

I'm 5'11" with long legs and I am planning on buying either a Russel Day Long or Billy Mayer seat with it cut back 2" and I think I will get it an inch or two taller

I am 6' 3" and am wondering the same thing. I am looking at the Seal floorboards as they appear to give you the most movement for your feet. I am also looking at the Corbin seat to give me some more firmness in the cushion. I am thinking that will help take some of the pressure points off of that "sinking" into the seat feeling. Keep us all posted...

I am 6ft 2 in and 250 lbs. I have the ultimate tallboy and I would not trade it, if you order one, think about colored stitching and custom embroidery. the butt pocket is deep and although they say it is not waterproof it will hold a 1/2 gallon of rain water, easily wiped out with a micro fiber cloth which I keep handy. it comes with a driver backrest slot. I can sit in the passenger seat but it is snug. so if your passenger is larger than a small, or medium you should talk to the sales person live for accommodations .

Corbin seat and Vertika floor boards, 6foot and I have room for my legs to roam around. No it's not the cheapest idea, but the best isn't.

6'1" and a little. I have the comfort seat. It made a big difference. Still kicking the peg and/or foot boards. Leaning toward NBV pegs first.

I'm 6'6" with a 2011 RTS and always have my wife riding pillion, so any seat that moves me back is a no-no. Highway pegs are fine if you have a hand operated brake like on a motorcycle, but not with only a foot brake and the second or so it would take to get your foot to it (IMHO), unless you could rig a brake onto the highway peg.

I used to have a Yamaha FJR1300 for which I was able to brackets which lowered the pegs by about 1". It made a huge improvement in the comfort. Occasionally the pegs would touch down on tight bends but this shouldn't happen with a Spyder and I think the pegs could even go lower than 1". The foot brake would need to be lowered by the same amount, which was easy on the FJR but I'm not sure about the spyder.

I'm short, but

...at 6'2" 180 pounds (short and small; heck I'm in Texas ;) ). Had a Corbin seat on my '08 - and now have one on my '10 Spyder. The big changer in comfort for me was the Seal floor boards. I have the larger version -- almost like adding highway pegs. I can move my feet around and I'm good to go for another 50 miles - or next fuel stop. A lot of choices out there. If you carry a passenger, you will need to insure that person is comfortable and has enough room if you go with a custom seat that is cut back a couple of inches.

Instead of buying a new large boy seat, I took my stock seat to an automobile upholsterer and had his recut the seat and move me back to where I wanted. Lot cheaper than a new seat

Anyone looking for floor boards check out WebBoards. http://web-boards.net/
they are a Spyder lover Sponsor. Bill is the owner and he is great to deal with plus they look like they belong on the Spyder!

Big & Tall

I'm very interested in getting a more comfortable ride. I am 6' 8" tall and weigh 360 lbs. I was thinking of the Seal floor boards but like the looks of the Web floorboard.

I'm 6' 2" and have the Ultimate tallboy seat. You just can't beat it for comfort. Best seating position I've found for the RT.

As for floor boards, I'm going to order some SPIDER LEGS COMFORT FOOTBOARDS. Available from one of our own Spyderlovers sponsors, http://www.spyderfootboards.com/
