• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Foglights 2010 RT

Yup, NC specifies forward-facing, but OH does not. Just like GloRyders rotate, they also don't shine out, they shine onto the wheel, both forwards and backwards. It's a minor point, I acknowledge, but since it was costly for a forum member, I thought I'd bring it up. I'm not trying to change anybody's mind, just ensuring you know what's possible. I'll be quiet.

Please, no need to be quiet. You made a very valid point. There are some states and even municipalities within states that have strict laws on use of rotating/flashing lights wheather they are blue, amber etc. Many years ago, when I was a volunteer fireman, I had a red rotating light mounted on my dash, legal here in NC. While traveling back from New Jersey one time, I crossed into Maryland. Within two miles I passed a state trooper sitting in the median. He pulled me over and gave me a ticket for that light, even though it was not operating. I went to court, the judge dimissed the ticket but warned me never to come back to Maryland with that light on the dash. Yars later I went back with my truck with a light bar on top. Never had a problem. All this to say that your point was well taken.

As sharp as the Blue lights are... why give the Police a chance to get you in their sights? Put them on their own switch and shut 'em off if you're out on the road... (Or go with Amber...) ...And I know that I keep sounding like the guy who's trying his darndest to rain of everyone's parade... SORRY! :shemademe_smilie:

The GloRyders do have a three way switch. Auto, show and off. However it's manual and you have to take the cover off to do it. Didn't get a chance to install mine yesterday. Plan on it today after I pick it up from the DPS update.

Glowryders

Oh Darn Mo has NO FLASHING, ROTATING, lights that can be seen more than 75 ft. Tis ticket time I guess for those who have em on at night. States seem to NOT LIKE blue yellow and red!!!!:gaah: seems that's THEIR colors for their emergency vehicles etc. Oh Well guess I' ll get mine in GREEN!!! Have red SE5 and RT-S sooo come Christmas will be right in the mood!!! Ya think??:2thumbs: :roflblack: Then I'll see if I can get a string of lights to hang all over the bike!:joke:

Yep, the season approcith. I put my Glos on today. Rode this evening, went past the house, wifey gave the thumbs up. Rode for about another half hour in heavy traffic area. Got some more thumbs up and one smart a_ _ comment at a traffic light. No cops though. :2thumbs:

GloRyders

Rode with my blue GloRyders last night for the first time. Passed at least six police cars in two districts and two state troopers on the Interstate. Got a thumbs up from one county cop and no response from any of the others. I have to admit I half expected to be stopped but it was not to be on this occasion. Am now considering changing out the board for a different color just to be safe.

That's strange for the communist (ooops, commonwealth) state. Rode mine again last night, blew past a city cop on 70E and he didn't even look. He was on his cell phone though. Got some looks, especially from the atv crowd who were leaving from the atv park. I go through Hopewell frequently on my way north to visit family. I'm in my cage though. Maybe I'll take the Spyder sometime.

Hey bruiser, I'm right off I295 (1/2 mile).:2thumbs:

Love my :spyder2: Getting GPS installed this coming week while I'm in St Louis.

Blue Lights

I am in Florida and it's no blue and no red. Say the PD pull over a kid with Blue lights underneath his car and he got ticketed. Not giving a LEO any reason to stop me and don't have time to go to court to fight it. I went with purple on my blue and they look great. I keep looking for windows on buildings to ride by at night and admire them. They do look good.
