• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

FOBO TPMS

Has anyone had issues with leaving the stock rubber valve stems on or is it better to install metal stems.

No problem with the rubber stems

Have had the FOBOs on three different sets of wheels on our RTs and now one set moved to the F3. All on rubber stems. No problems other than re-syncing them occasionally with new phones. Work well and no integrity issues ... just change batteries on the FOBOs about once a year. Great product.

FOBO with Shamrock Wheels

I have the Shamrock wheels and my FOBO came with metal stems except they would not work with my wheels. Had to go to the parts store and get longer rubber stems and install those. Have not had any issues other that I have a sensor that shows the battery is low even after I replaced it 3 times. Cindy at TricLed contacted the FOBO rep and told me that it should pass after a while. I bought them at Spyderfest. But to get back on track, no issues with rubber stems.:D

I had a thread up about the bolt in 1" stem I installed in the front wheels on my F3T. Below are pictures.

The app tells me to touch the phone to the sensor after the 8 seconds and re-install while touching the "OK" on the screen. Never had a sync problem..

What are you trying to do that requires taking them off? ......and how old are your batteries?

Pete

Always, always check each battery for correct voltage. Even if new out of the package. After that, try swapping the sensor to see if it's that sensor or the other one. Also if having trouble like this if phone is in one of those heavy duty cases i.e. Otterbox or something like that you may have to take it out of the case. Must touch, not just close for the setup. Last, remove and reinstall the app and try again.
