• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

FOBO Bike TPMS system?

Ordered mine this afternoon, getting two silver and one black. Was told that sometime in May there will be chrome caps available.

Can't do the air shock valve either and you have to worry about batteries in the remote.

The Driving tires doing the work always get warmer than the Driven tire. That was the first thing I noticed when I installed them on my trike. If you don't set the MAX pressure on the driving tire (or in my case tires) 20% higher than Recommended Cold Pressure. You will most likely get a high pressure alarm. It happened to me. I installed the sensors on my trike and we left for Daytona, it was about 87 degrees, the asphalt was over 106 degrees. I was cruising, for about two hours, on a quite two lane road in the middle of nowhere, listening to my music when all of a sudden I had this whaling noise inside my helmet, I sat up, looked all around, and was anticipating being run down by a SNOWPLOW..........and I live in South West Florida. My Smartphone is mounted on the handle bars and I saw the trike icon on the screen with a red box flashing 45. I had set the high pressure at 10% of the recommended 40 psi or 44 psi.
They work.

So the app sends an alarm into the bluetooth in the helmet? Very handy. I'm thinking can this work?

I have a 3 wheel motorcycle and sometimes I will tow it in a trailer. I understand that I can make two "plans" in the app, one for the bike and one for the trailer. If I take two sensors off the bike and disable them, then install them on the trailer. Using plan two to monitor the trailer tires. This should work right? I know I'm cheap, I don't want to buy any more sensors than I need to. The trailer is only used to transport the bike. No need to monitor the bike on the trailer or the trailer sitting in the parking stall.

Right now my bike is taken apart so I can do a cat bypass. I'm hoping to start getting it welded and back together this week.
Then we'll check out how it works.

I just got confirmation from FOBO support, which BTW is great. You can buy the FOBO bike set plus one for the rear wheel install on the Spyder and all is as previously stated. When you are towing the bike on a trailer, you take the 2 off the front tires and put them on the trailer tires. You do not need to disable them when transferring them. You will need to reset the new pressure desired.

OK so understand though. While you do not need to do the process I said step by step let me clarify what happens.

If you go into the APP and change the tire pressure and click "done", the FOBO APP tells you to unscrew the sensor and wait 8 seconds. Then it tells you to screw it back on. What it is doing is basically the same thing, e.g it is unbinding and rebinding the sensor.. When you unscrew a sensor for more than 8 seconds it basically turns it off. The sensors turns itself on when you screw it on and it senses pressure. So again same thing.

So it is not just as simple as you say although this process the APP takes you through to change the pressure settings is quite easy.

So just to clarify. I did in fact test this and that is what you do.

After seeing this post and then watching the thread for a couple of days I just had to order for my spyder. Looks like a great product. Right after I ordered it got an email from Bob Mulch making sure I ordered the color I wanted. Sounds like great customer service. Can't wait to get it on the bike. Thanks for finding this product and posting.
 
Do Spyders use metal valve stems? Every Bike/Trike TPMS system has some type of warning/disclaime about their use with rubber valve stems due to the potential for the rubber valve stem to fail because of the additional weight of the TPMS sensors on top of the stem. The only problem I ever had was removing the Tire Guard TPMS sensor. It loosened up the stem and caused the tire to go flat. Luckily I had a 4-way tire tool and fixed the problem and reinflated the tire.

Spyders come with rubber valve, i already change my fronts to metal & when i pull off rear i will use 90 degree metal
and those tpms units i would recommend on metal shaft only.
 
Fobo TPMS are now installed on my Spyder. Total install time is 20 minutes including air adjustement prior the installation of the TPMS. It's very easy to install when following the instruction of Bob (Finless). I also made one test with the apps by reducing air pressure of the front right tire and I heard the alarm in my helmet equiped with SENA SMH10. This is my results:

Arrived today

Since I want to monitor the Spyder, rear air shock and the RT-622 trailer tires, I was advised to buy 3 motorcycle kits. Will install Spyder monitors later today. Will do the trailer as needed.
 
Received mine this morning and the only problem I had was with the lock-nuts, nowhere is it mentioned (could have missed it) that it takes a wrench to install the lock-nut far enough down on the threads to get the sensor on. The software is easy to understand only wish it had a Temp / Pressure Log, I mailed the log file to myself but parameters are not identifiable. I weight the unit and the lock-nut is .83 grams and the sensor is 11.23 grams.
