• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

You would never have believed it

Align TRex 700E DFC HV

Just a "small" RC helicopter, electric. Total rotor span, 1.6 meters.

You can certainly go on YouTube and watch Tareeq AlSaadi buzz around his back yard. Snickers

Ah, buzz is the joke key word here. ;-) I tear up every time I watch this vid. No joke.
I got into this hobby/sport so late. Have a very long way to go.

Mr. AlSaadi is a United Arab of Emerits prince, his wealthy father is a billionaire oil baron.
Tareq probably has the worlds greatest style and grace in RC Helicopter flight, he's just the best.
I believe he has over 50 helicopters, probably a couple of real Bell's in the garage too.

While I love to fly, it's just jaw dropping for us rank amateurs to witness his finesse on thee joy sticks.
Hot burning hell, he can even land while in an inverted hover.

That is just not right.

It's a gas

When he flies a gasser... ;-)

The batteries may need charging, where here you just land, refuel and go again.

Battery operated are quite a bit more powerful and so, more fun. Yeah..

Yep. Good stuff. When I was a kid I had a wire controlled P40 Warhawk. You know the kind, it was on about 40 feet of fishing line and all you did was fly in circles. Crashed it. Took the engine out and wired it to the back of a Tonka army jeep and ran it up and down the alley.

Nice collection.

Those were awesome times

That's a very Nice pair right there.., ;-)
So who collects all the trucks.? Is that your collecton?
That's an awesome arrangement, quite nice, whoever.

Did you ever watch the tethered cars rip around the tracks?
That was scary, we had to stand behind a steel mesh fence, similar to a baseball back stop.

Never saw any crashes, but they had some wrecked models on display. Crunch time...

Tetherd planes Seerms so boring aren't they. I suppose age appropriate though.
I think I would get dizzy before my gas or batteries died.

Technology is so advanced today, and the models are often built with chips that act as tiny brains.
I fly quads too, multi rotors, and find them a lot of fun as well. Even with all the controversy considering "drones"! Well yeah sure they have cameras but we aren't spies or trying invade on your dirty little secrets in the bedrooms of America. ;-) home movies...

I can't wait to see what ingenious designs they come up with next...
As the goodness never stops.
