There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Florida to Gatlinburg

effgjamis

Ride Forrest Ride!
Howdy all.
I would like to meet with all those ryding to gatlinburg.
I have not established my agenda but it is felexable as long as I am in Gatlingburg Wed.
As to a meeting place for the group ride we could meet at Wildwood at the steak and shake and all leave from there. Regarless if we all meet one Monday or Tuesday would be ok. If we left Monday we would have two nights on the road whereas Tue only one night. or leave Tue noonish and ride straight thru. However, I am not sure all want the straight thru ride.
call me (407-520-1061) and/or post your agenda and if you are willing to ride as a group.

What date are you leaving and what date are you coming back? How many nights in a motel room. ? I'm gonna try to swing this , but just not sure how yet.

Either Mon 20th or Tue 21st early early AM with stop over, or 21st Tue Noonish with straight thru ride, arriving Gatlinburg Wed around noon.

So in summary... Maybe one night on road, 3 nights at gatlinburg, and either leaving Sat ( Sometime ) and maybe 1 night on the road or then again straight thru.

It is hard for me to believe that there is no one going to Gatlinburg, or at least providing their agenda in the travel.
Would be nice to know, or perhaps it is too early for the decisions.

Hey Forest,
Myself and a friend of mine (2 spyders), were thinking of leaving out on Sunday, but Monday works for us too. We just have to be back in Tampa by late Sunday night. I can't do a straight through ride due to shoulder issues, but I can do a long ride, stay night somewhere, then ride in as you had proposed. So, if you end up doing the Monday, stay over thing, and on way back, stay over thing, you can count us in ;)

Mary & I are leaving Ft. White Tuesday 7am heading up I-75 to Macon, where we will take 129 through Athens, then 141 on into Cornelia for the night.
Wednesday we will ride up 441 through Franklin, Cherokee, and on into Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge where we have our reservations for 3 nights.
We will be heading back Saturday approx 3pm after the festivities, heading south and stopping at Macon for the night. Sunday we will be back in Florida wore out.
We hope to see some of you on the road. Ride safe when ever and where ever you go.

I would realllllllly like to go but I am opening a barbq in Salt Springs and have to stay home for that . Also I just got back from my home state of Tennessee visiting my family in Murfreesboro. So ...no go for me . I'll miss ya'll . Again. :f_spider:

I thought you guys were doing the FL express.
I am going and would love some Company. I plan to leave on the 21st and make it a 2 day back road ride. (I will run Interstate to Lake City) then pretty much straight up 441, or 75 to Macon and then 129. Stop over in GA somewhere. (I don't think it will be a huge deal to get a room on Tuesday night)

I will not do a 1 day on the way up as the last 100 miles are the hardest, twistiest, prettiest, best, miles and I am not doing those when I am tired.
A 1 day on the way back is doable, but why?

I run speed limit + 5 or 10 ..... Never 15 over (I can slow down but I wont risk a "big ticket")

These simple rules look harsher than they really are. I am just saying that if you ride 55(or less) on the interstate or 100+, I am not your riding partner.

I would be happy to meet up in Wildwood anytime on Tuesday. Late morning would be best for me but am flexable

Hello Fl. Peeps

Not positive if I am going to make the run, but if so, hope to see some of you up there. Remember though, you go up the hills, and down the hills, and actually have to turn the bars to get around the corners...LOL

Florida 11 curves in 318 miles......... not counting off-ramps
