• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Floorboards

I couldn't make up my mind on floorboards. Instead of making a 450-800.00 mistake since I have never had them before, I picked up this pair from inspector gadget. They look fine and I like the size of them. I like the price even better, 90.00:bowdown:IMAG0247.jpgIMAG0248.jpg

A quick update: I just rode for a little over an hour, and there is no doubt that floorboards are a lot more comfortable than the OEM foot pegs. It took me a little bit to just let me feet lie flat esp on the brake side but once I did it was very nice. Plenty of room on the boards, anything more on the back end wouldn't do anything to make the rider more comfortable, at least i couldn't put my feet any further back...:roflblack: I loaded and unloaded my self the same as i always do, so we shall see if the 2 screw issue becomes one or not. Anything I install automatically becomes part of my pre-ride checklist. :roflblack: Time will tell, but for 90.00 I give them a

WOW!!! I'm impressed

They do look good & you can't beat the price. Make sure to do a follow up review after you've had time to try them out for a while, I for one would like to know how well you like them. They look like their are no adjustments for changing the angle, is that correct? I know when I ryde, I'd like to be able to angle the front of my foot down a bit. Thanks for share'n :thumbup:

Dave, they don't adjust, they do flex. I did ask Mr Gadget:roflblack: about that.

"YES as the pegs are rubber mounted to help dampen the vibration as do the weights provide additional inertial dampening. This flexing is more noticeable due to the leverage that the new floorboards provide."

And yes, its only 2 screws, but thats pretty much the only reason I could install them. :roflblack: It might be close between me and Bob D for the lack of mechanical talent, but I'm pretty sure he could outdo me...i'm seriously lacking in tools and knowhow...:dontknow: but i can cuss with the best of them when(not if) I screw up:yikes::yikes:

They do angle down a little and I find them very comfortable.

I just went out and did some "flexing" of the floorboard while getting on the bike normally and from underneath using my hands on either end of the board. Interestingly enough, its not the floorboard itself flexing and stressing the screws at all(not directly anyway), the entire peg it attaches to is flexing when you put your weight on either end of the board. The existing peg mount is wide enough to bear the brunt of the weight. I don't think the 2 screws is going to be an issue at all after seeing that. :dontknow:

I'm a newb, what do i know:roflblack:
