• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Floor boards for 2012 rss

Rivco for me too...

I also have the Rivco floorboards and really like the look and feel of them. The price will be about $320 for the set.

I put rivco on mine too. They're heavy built. My bike already had highway pegs on it that were using the front chassis mount bolts so I had to cobble :D

I have the bigger brake bad on my RS. It works with the boards but it hangs over the board quite a bit. It makes it hard to use the center of the board because your foot is under the brake. I'm saving up to get the hand brake so I can put the small pad back on and open up more space. I usually end up with my foot on the outside edge of the board. Once I get the hand brake ill put the small pad back on and use the hand brake as the primary brake. That way I only have to find the foot brake in an emergency. I took a picture but the system keeps saying they are invalid. I'll post it later if I can figure out the problem

Be careful of trapping your foot under the brake pedal with the handbrake installed. The pedal still has to move and if you have your paw underneath it when you grab the handbrake.... could be bad. You'd have quickly and conscientiously release the brake, move your foot and grab the brakes again

Always make sure you have the proper brake pedal (hinged) to avoid safety issues. This is very important if you have ISCI Floorboards and the ISCI Hand Brake.

In my opinion the Rivco boards are a cloned Harley floor board and dont fit the style of the roadster i have the ISCI boards which look much better and work better with the extended brake pedal they made all the difference in the world as far as comfort just the right drop to hit the brakes.

Well, here's another opinion.... you have maintained a "sport" appearance on your machine. Mine is quasi converted to a cruiser style. Tall windshield, Corbin seats with backrests, highway pegs....etc. I think the rivco look the best for my bike

You might want to take a look at sealfloorboards.com Gallery Page for some great looking RS's with Seals. The brake is actually mover 2" forward so your legs can be stretched out when braking. No Modification of your bike required and you don't have to lift your foot off the brake to stop, just rotate on the ball of your foot and brake with your heel. It's a very smooth and natural movement.

A bunch of very happy new Seal Riders here at Spyders in the Redwoods!

Ride in comfort,
John
