• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Flood or Spot light

choices

It would depend on the conditions you drive in...I have both but have seldom had use for the fog lights for fog. I use them as shoulder light aimed at the edges of the road used on unlit highway. But if yours are fixed and you do mostly day ryde I would go with the spot/driving light...jmo

:agree: It depends totally upon your needs.
Up here: I would look for a wide beam, to illuminate the road shoulders.
(Helps me look for deer...)
You may want to throw the light further down the highway...
It's your call.

I might be off base on this but the main reason for me to add lights to the front of a Spyder is to be seen rather than to see.
In which case any light fills the bill.

:agree: That's why I lit up the front of mine. :2thumbs:

How about one of each. My plan is to mount the spot on the left side to illuminate down the road and the wide angle on the right to provide a wash for the side of the road. Can't take credit for the idea, several members of both HD and Goldwing groups have been running that way for years and it makes sense to me. Some of the places that sell lights let you select one of each.

check out lightforceusa.com, ADJUSTABLE FOR FLOOD AND SPOT, no tools required to adjust. Bang on for extra lighting.............

Light force is an awesome light. Had a pair on a BMW but, they are huge. I had the Lance 140's and wanted the combo beams (fog and spot in one unit) , which, at the time, consisted of replacing the lens cover. Only available on the Striker 170's which were almost 7" in diameter. Too large and expensive for my taste but excellent lights.

think they still offer the baby 4 inch , yes they are a little pricey, but then so was your SPYDER, the best bang for lighting for the buck you spend.....AND INDESTRUCTABLE, from rocks, baseball bats gun shots etc......................
