• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Flashing led's spyderpops bumpskid

I want to add a switch and flasher to my spyderpops bump skid that came with leading edge led's

I lead funeral escorts for the local Patriot Guard missions and have always had white led's that blink or strobe. I think a flashing bump skid would add visibility during processions.

Anyone have any thoughts or comments about what I need to do. I have the flasher setup for my hyperwhites, but the (separate) flasher is only working two pods of 16 led's each. It's spec might be for up to 6 pods so 96 led's. I could try wiring that in the circuit, but it seems there's lots more led's on the bump skid.

Any specific component you can point me at would be appreciated. I'd wire in a 2 throw switch so it's either solid on for normal use, or flashing for processions.

thanx

we always run our emergency flashers for such events. good news is I have the fender tri-led kits to be wired into the turn signals.

I'll then be thinking of what I want to do with the rear. It would be some kind of white led's that flash.

I bought a same make/spec unit from amazon and tried it. The unit says it's 12amp, but the instructions spec shows 6amp. Regardless, the receiver got very hot and had very little effect on the led's. The remote was working (red light on when button pushed). Either it's defective, miss marked for 6amp, or isn't going to work because of too many led's and load.

Bought another and will see and report.

duh...I had the polarity right but not the flow...as in the correct end connected to bike/battery side and the other connected to the led's

now that it's correct, works fine and is very cool.

Besides turning the LED's on and off, strobe lights, dim lights…what else does the remote allow you to do?

Dims lights several degrees

several flashing patterns

On/Off mode

What more do you want??

It will also do the same for your Spypops light if you have it installed.

you can have the lights in any color you want as long as it is white. :hun::hun: :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:
