There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I was at a spyder event today and mentioned I was going to Durango and was told to save my $$ for another trip because the owners event is a lot of hype but recommended it was a good event ti skip. ???? Has anyone been there?

Just wonderin

We attended the one in Hollywood,CA a few years ago and it was fantastic. Have no idea how any of the other ones were.

We did the one in Maggie Valley last year and enjoyed ourselves. But I have to say that at this very minute, I'm seriously contemplating pulling my registration and not doing Durango. Very little to so with BRP putting it on but it does come into the decision. The part about no outside vendors. I LOVED the vendor village at Spyderfest. I'm spoiled.

Another part has to do with how I feel my body will react to all of the sun, driving that far and doing what I know will be great, scenic rydes. Even with SPF 110, I paid for the sun exposure up and back to Cuba, even with long sleeves the entire trip. I've had sun poisoning 3 times in my life and it takes very little to mess with my health. I feel like a wimp compared to Doc and others that are doing thousands of miles. But.... I need to practice what I preach.

There are some other adders to the decision. But Larry, if you're interested in meeting a boat load of other Spyder owners, this will be a good event.... Second to Spyderfest.

We went to Maggie Valley last year and had a very good time. I think BRP put on a classy rally that showed that they appreciated us. Two things that stick out in my mind are the nice meal and the gas card that they gave us.

:agree:. Everyone had free admission to the motorcycle museum in Maggie Valley as well as the great closing dinner, many door prizes, a $25 gas card for every Spyder in attendance. There was a grand prize trip for two to the Owners' Event in Europe, including use of a Spyder over there. Unfortunately we didn't win that one! We were disappointed that there weren't more group rides (the one to the Dragon was on a rainy Sunday so we skipped it) but I understand BRP has listened to complaints about that and are working to arrange more group rides in Durango. It was fabulous riding around Maggie Valley and we are expecting more of the same in Durango. On the negative side is the absence of vendor village, but...we can't afford much more after Spyderfest, anyway, so that's probably a plus for us! It's great to see all our Spyder friends again when we go to various rallies, so I'd say...come join us...you will enjoy yourself.

For anyone going to Durango,Co have a safe trip and alot of fun, Will be looking for pic's from the event. We planned on SF this year if you know what I mean vacation and funds. To the FL x-press be safe wish we could do it with you. See you when you get back John and Carol.

I've been to all of them including the first one in Valcourt and they were all worth the trip. If I was to say one was a disappointment it would be the one in Chicago but I knew that going into it. It's the people that make the event along with the riding for me. If you're going for the vendors it will be a disappointment but the riding in the area of CO should more than make up for it. :doorag:

See you guys in Albuquerque

There may be another group going as well - some of us are planning a ride up the back side of the mountain, through Santa Fe, Espanola and Pagosa Springs, running the same time frame.

I can't wait

I thought we were all going together...? Rolling out on the Turquoise Trail (NM 14) through Madrid and then taking the Santa Fe bypass, through Espanola, and up to Chama and then over to Durango via Pagosa Springs. I guess if others want to go a different route, more power to them. I'd rather take a more relaxed ride than powering up I-25 with the average 80mph speed and what seems like 50mph cross-winds.

12 days left..the group consist of: Forrest, Paul, Mike, Reggy, Hector and me. Mike to arrive in Shreveport, LA @ 2300.:doorag:
