• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

FL to L.A.'s BRP June event

Doru the Destroyer-Spyder Photo Investigator
The south route to California crossing western Texas, southern New Mexico, southern Arizona and southern California. Jacksonville to San Diego to be considered crossing the country from coast to coast in under 50 hours ("The 50cc Quest" is a trademark of the Iron Butt Association).

Jan and I have done that route before on a 2-wheeler, pulling a cargo trailer. There are sure a lot of places where there are just miles and miles of nothing but miles and miles.

you'll definitely have to stop in pensacola for a bit for a meet up. Probably ride with you a bit of the ways, maybe into Mississippi. (depending on when you will be coming this way)

Other than Doc, is any other FL spyder riders going to the LA event??

I am planning on going, not the 50cc challenge, but up to Little Rock and then I40 to LA.

I am thinking of the 1000 mile, 24 hour, Iron Butt run from Kissimmee to Little Rock, that is if I do not have company, but I have not made up my mind yet.

Email me, PM me, or call me 407-520-1061 if you are planning to go..

Ok Guys and Girls...

I have decided to leave Kissimmee durning the week of the 15th-19th of June.. If I am the only one, most likely will be leaving 18th-19th to Pearcy, AR ( 1,042 miles ) and in less than 24hrs.
Taking Fl turnpike to I75, to Atlanta, GA, then I20 to Burmingham, AL, then 78 to Memphis, TN then I40 to Little Rock, AR, and US70 to Pearcy, AR... Sleep then.
The above route is not set in concrete as I will entertain meeting up with other riders.
So.... Let me Know, or I be gone without you... sorry to say..

Can't go but Doc if you pass thru Pensacola on the 21st I will defiintely ryde with you to Mississippi and probalby the Louisianna border. Just need to know how many miles are u figuring to make it on a tank - are you using auxilliary tanks to extend you mileage?

Let us know because the Gulf Coast SpyderRyders will join as we can.

Good luck trying to keep up. The only reason we caught up to him was a fuel and rest stop. LOL

Just make sure you stay fueled because there are a great deal of long deserted runs across the I-10 through Texas

Hey Doc, that is an excellent idea. I think I will hit that website myself and try to approximate stops four our route too. Thanks for the info. Ride safe and see you out there.

I guess I won't use that site, it is only for your ride. But now I have an idea of search parameters for the same type of thing for out route.

I think Doc loves the open highway more than Us19. Once we hit I-4, it was a pretty quick pace to Jax.

I think all my mechanics are done on the Spyder., New GPS MOUNT, ESCORT MOUNT, EXTRA GAS etc..

This is the yellow thing almost loaded, just need my stuff in the trailer...

Anybody passing through Louisiana on I-10 to go to LA, drop me a line. I would love to ride 'shotgun' across the Bayou State. :doorag:

Start time 6.21.9 at 0600 in Jacksonville Beach....
