• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fitting a Zumo 660

I just purchased a GPS.(Not from BRP) I also purchased the GPS
harness from BRP ($175AU)(($55US)). Have made my own mount and now
have to fit it. Can anyboby tell me where the plug for the harness
is situated on the spyder before I start pulling every thing apart. Is it
under the handle bar or in rear were the radio is.
Thanks in advance.

First place I'd look is around the battery. I know there are multiple wiring connectors in that area & is also where the entertainment harness connected when I installed the CB/intercom.

Zumo wiring harness

Did this last week with a Zumo 550 no difference in installation

There is a plug behind the top of the right side box. It is just hanging there. The dummy plug had me confused for a while!

What did cause me a trip to the Source (Radio Shack) was I had a male plug on the audio lead from the Zumo and a male on the BRP harness so had to get a female female connector. I heat shrunk over this and the two male plugs to make sure it is watertight.

Biggest pain is taking out the headlight to get the wires through the steering column, not difficult just a lot of plastic has to come off.

660 Wire length ?

My plan is to move the 660 GPS from the center of handlebar to above dash behind wind screen on RT SE5. Question being ... Is there enough cable to allow this move or is there an extension cable available ? :hun: :dontknow:

You can get extensions for the audio lead from The Source make sure the female/male ends are correct or get an adapter. The Spyder has a male audio and so did my extension cable so had to buy a female/female adaptor

The power lead can be extended with multistrand two core wire 16 gauge is fine from same place, either crimp or solder.
