What’s up with the axle shaft? Is there a problem with them. I have a 22 RTL.
It's nothing major, unless you really want to fit a tow hitch right now! The 'original supplier' of the axle shafts has been unable to keep up with the demand, and the 'alternative supplier' hasn't put the same dia hole thru the axle shaft, so the securing rod (which is not really a load bearing item, just a way of keeping the hitch mounts held tightly against the swing-arms...
) that's part of the OE Hitch Kits (& probably most a/mkt hitch kits too!) has too large a dia to go thru the smaller dia hole the alt supplier put in the middle of their alternative axle tubes!

So as I said, it's nothing major unless you want to fit a hitch right now; and if you do, you can either wait for the right OE axle tube or modify the existing 'alternative' axle tube &/or the way you secure the hitch arms against the swing arms... there's a few different options that'll work, so nothing insurmountable, just an embuggerance!
