There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I was just thinking how many of you guys fish and how do you carry your rods on an Rt along with the gear...

:D Gee... up here in the Mountains: a stick or two of dynamite is easy to carry, and can bring a lot of fish to the top of the deep pools... :joke:

Depends....

Solid rods or break downs.... should be easy enough and i'm sure there are solutions out there. Don't fish :dontknow:

Here is one idea, marino-woodworks.com fly rod box.......

So you go fishing on your :ani29:. Put the broke down rods in the trunk. Tackle box, net, etc. in the other compartments--don't forget the beers and the 44 magnum for bear protection. Then you catch a couple of those 50# salmon or two foot long rainbows--where the heck are you going to put the fish. :roflblack::roflblack:

HI GUYS

I am just asking have you guys wanted to take your Rts on a fishing trip and had no way of carrying the poles. I may have solved that problem and I am doing a little R&d at this time. carrying dynamite around these days will land you in a lot of hot water, would get a label of being a terrorist and if you did catch anything all you really need to do is filet on the spot and put it in the cooler, now the gun thing do you really think that is needed. please don't respond on the gun issue there is enough news and I don't want to make this a gun issue its all about those that want to take there poles, okay guys thanks for the input

Use the space formerly occupied by the beer that is now in your gut!

RE: guns. Most carry in Alaska because bear encounters are for real and can be serious. People get mauled and sometimes eaten. Other places, maybe not so much.

thank you

Thanks for the info on why one should carry a gun in Alaska. Yes I have and I am working on a solution for my poles. I was hoping to get some input from those that do the same ,but seems to me the off topic section should be about guns. I have two poles one you break down .the other is a long rod. So I just got started in the hobby and its pretty cool to just relax. I bring a small cooler and a small tackle box.if I catch any thing I cut in in half clean it there by the water.

Regarding the "long rod", that doesn't break down: If you have a rack on your top trunk; could you attach it back there, and add some sort of Velcro attachment at the top corner of your windshield? Would that work? :dontknow:

problem solved,

thanks for your input, I think I may have found a solution, ill get back to you . how many guys do we have here that fish...

Hi Bob,

Re: That wasn't me...

They all say that. My son is a criminal defense attorney, would you like his contact info? :yikes:
