Colder weather is coming for most of us. Yet there are still a lot of nice, dry, sunny (though cool) riding days out there. Firstgear makes some really nice gear. From the 1 piece Thermo cold weather suit to the heated gear which includes gloves, jackets, jacket liners, pants and socks. Most do very will with gloves and jacket or jacket liner. The hard core cold riders may want to add an item or 2.

Riding comfortable in the cold on an otherwise nice day is really a neat experience.

The Thermo is a great option! You can't beat it for the price. And why would you not take it to Alaska?! Post-it notes on the forehead work well for me! :roflblack:

Yes. The Thermo is a big seller and pretty much a crowd-pleaser. Hard to beat the features for the price.

Living on the east coast I have been researching what might be sufficient warm gear for me riding into the November month. I have 12V outlets on the bike and my two choices are Gerbing and Firstgear 12V gear but now I'm reading about Firstgear 1-piece suit.

It appears the 1-piece is a popular choice on Spyderlovers but at what point or why would you choose a thermo suit over a 12V?

If I purchase the thermo suit, can I still wear thermo socks and hand liner? How would they be wired (e.g. 12V outlet, portable dual temp controller)?

Back in the day I rode with a heated vest but technology has advanced well past that. I've never heard of a thermo suit. I'll have to check it out. How does Firstgear compare to Gerbing? I was at a BMW dealership this weekend and they had both but I only looked at the Gerbing.
