• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Hey all,Just got back from first trip on our 2013 spyder RT ,had 642 miles at check, left dealership for ozarks and south, ran rain wind and cold saturday ,sunday on into Branson Mo to meet up with friends on their new HD Trike, after comparing, nice supper, few drinks, and good nite sleep,we went south looking for sunshine, little traffic, and of course twistys,Ran The Moonshine Run in Ar. had a blast,RT done alot better in curves than the HD trike, after about,227 miles we were in Eureka Ar.great day great run,we got 27 mpg HD trike got 35 mpg. comparing the two bikes after 1046 miles, spider out performs HD on take offs steep grades, overall steering and of course backing, however HD got the best mpg overall 32 to 41 compared to RT 23 to 33,HD storage 2 compartments are larger than RTs 4 compartments. Overall I love our RT, can`t wait until time we go,Yes thers a learning curve to the RT ,Its worth it.

Thank you , thank you:bowdown: So refreshing to read a thread praising the Spyder. Seems as if everything I read tonight has been negative. Love my RTS and my RS:clap:

Sounds like a great trip. I rode around Eureka Springs last summer and really enjoyed it and would like to get back there again.

Great news..!!

congrats on a great trip. Thanks for the post with the review. Nice you had the variety to get some comparative driving done. Enjoy..the mileage will get better even if it is not why you ryde a spyder..!!

Just like you

We're also on our first "real" trip with or RT Limited & RT622 trailer. You have to know the wife tossed all kinds of
f-bombs when I said I wanted a bike again. That may have been caused by the skin graft on her leg from here last bike experience! The test drive in the dealer parking lot became "Let's go on the road" followed by sitting in our living room, hear a bike go by & saying "That could be us!!"

Our trip was from Buffalo to Erie then back home to reload & up to the Adirondacks. Riding through Lake Placid got some looks but climbing the Memorial Highway to the top of Whiteface mountain (the Olympic Ski Venue) REALLY got some looks.

Even with a couple days of rain, it's been an amazing trip. Sitting in a foggy Old Forge NY right now, we'll unfortunately have to head home soon. At least I got my 5000 mile picture for my pin from the top of Whiteface.

I didn't check mileage but being in the North Country I filled at 1/2 tank or so. Yes.....I almost ran out once. No bars on the gauge & a red light staring at me. (I've disabled my analog gauges) All I can say is that my RT has been flawless.

I can't believe when we get home we'll have been out 9 days & about 1500 miles. We've been comfortable, if not dry, & I'm sure we've seen so many things we would have missed in the car.

I doubt I'll make it to SpyderQuest in Lake George but if you have the opportunity..........DO IT!!! It's amazing in the Adirondacks.

Can-Am has waaaay too much of my money now but we have some amazing memories. I can't wait for the next long trip........
