• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hey folks I know there is a thread out there describing then needs and how to pack for a trip but cant seem to find it. Also I remember a thread or saw a pic of gas cans mounted in the 622 trailer. Any help would be great, thanks.

The gas cans were mine. The pic is in my album somewhere. It was really used to illustrate the BRP Cargo Blocks. I didn't like that setup, though, and have reverted to carrying the gas cans by themselves in my left saddlebag.

First Ride

I just returned from a 9100 mile 24 state trip pulling a small home built trailer on the back of my RT, didn't have any problems but before I left I also was going to put a 2 gal gas can inside my trailer and was told not to and I'm glad I listened. What I did was make a small base with plywood using pegs to keep the base from moving side to side and then strapped it down. It worked great and never had a problem of it falling off. I was also able to monitor the gas can because gas will expand and I could relieve the pressure each time I stopped for gas.
I am glad I had the gas can because there were two times I would of ran out of gas.

As far as packing, take less not more. If I was to do it again I most likely would not pull a trailer unless you are planning to stay in a RV parks which I did several times. My trailer was rigged so I could put a two man tent on the base platform after easily removing the carrier.
I don't know why BPR does not design a better trailer. The one they have is way over priced and functionless if you were to ask me.
