• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First time to spyderquest.

Just wondering about the rides early in the morn. Does anyone wear under garments or chaps. And do you have a favorite brand..and I don't mean vitoria secrets...wife will have those.

I have to say last year the mornings were chilly. We rode home from Lake George Sunday morning and I was in fleece lined wind pants over my jeans and about 4 layers of shirts plus a coat. If I remember correctly it was around 43 degrees. Layers are best so you can remove as needed, it does warm up mid day.

I never used more than blue genes, sometimes flannel lined and a jacket with and without the liner. This year I might try leather pants if it is cool out.

I will be bringing my snowmobiling bibs, Upstate NY weather usually ends up giving me the shaft when I try to plan ahead. So if I bring the bibs I will be able to ride the entire rally in shorts.

Just sayin'...........

Bring clothing for cool/warm weather, and bring rain gear just in case.

Also, bring your camera, there might be some fall foliage that you might see. The trees start turn colors about that time. Also, Google Au cue weather for the weather in that area. Deanna

After labor day weather can go up and down real fast in upstate NY.
Bring clothing for all season riding.

Agree with Deanna bring camera. Their rides have some great views. There may be little color in trees but not close to peak.
ENJOY!!

That time of year In NY watch the extended weather forecast and pack accordingly. Predicting what to bring right now is a crap shoot!

On another note WellsboroSpyder. There will be a small group of us heading your way this coming Saturday 8/22. 3 Spyders & 5 people right now, possibly a 4th Spyder with 2 more. Heading up 44 to Waterville for lunch then up 144 to Galeton and over to Wellsboro. Maybe we can run into you along the way?

COMANDO.... well unless you want to chance tracks in your pants I would think it was a good idea.:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

The weather? You might want to have an extra layer available, that you can remove as the Sun climbs higher in the sky...

The Lake George region can see temps near 90, and temps near 35, that time of the year - sometimes in the same week! Plenty of layers are recommended. I recently picked up a really neat down vest at Costco for less than $18 that packs into a very small stuff bag, that comes with it. I expect there will be days up there when I wear it in the morning, under a jacket, and will have it off, by noon. This is a link to the men's sizes, but they had women's, too
