• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Brought the battery out of storage and charged it up today. Installed the battery and I had a heck of a time getting the metal bracket positioned correctly on top of the battery. Finally found my problem. I had connected the battery cables before trying to install the bracket. Had to remove the negative cable and then I was able to get the metal bracket in position correctly. Installed my new XM radio today too. It works! Now I just need to subscribe.

Took Spyder down the hill and back, it ran great. I just need to renew the registration and I will be all set for the ryding season. Bruce

I also have a 1330 Spyder ..... I wrap some sturdy cord around the battery, which makes removal quite easy .... Mike

In the future, when you remove the battery, take piece of tape and secure the bracket in place before you put the battery back in. Then you can just remove the tape and lower the bracket down onto the battery and attach the rubber bungee.

I wish I would have read this post prior to removing that damn plate which, for the life of me, I can not get back on. Gave up before storing my bike for the winter. Will try agin in the spring.
