We are all used to having folks walk up to us where ever we go wanting to ask about our Spyder. That's one of the joys of owning one of these vehicles. But I was surprised at what happened to me today.
I was out just riding around and followed the same car for about a mile or more through several turns. After we both make a right turn we came upon a stop sign before merging onto a larger road. The car in front of me stops at the stop sign, as I did behind it, and also the car behind me. Out gets a little old lady who starts walking back to me, leaving her car in the middle of the road with the driver's door wide open. I'm thinking, "Oh shoot! What the heck did I do to upset this old gal??"
She came up to my Spyder, walked around the back of it, and approached me from the other side. Then she says, "What is that you are riding?" I quickly try to explain to her in a hurry what a Spyder is, as we are both holding up traffic behind us. "It REALLY looks fun!", she says. I asked, "Want a ride?", knowing that she couldn't take me up on it because her car was parked in the middle of the street. "Next time", she answers, and then walks slowly back to her car and merges into traffic. nojoke
