First "thank you" to all who said installing shocks is easy, it really was.
Now today a friend and I took a test ride, hit some local hills and twisties.
After a few curves, I felt confident I hadn't done anything wrong with the installation.
So I started pushing it, OMG what a difference it makes, I took the curve at double the posted "suggested" speed. It handled like a dream. Also the bumps and pot holes weren't as painfully on my back either, over all a great increase in performance.
