• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First ryde of the season

Super stoked to get the Spyder out of the garage for a quick shake down after a long winters nap !

Any other ryders in the Northeast getting back on the roads?

Guess you would have to say I am from the NW--as in really N and really W. :roflblack::roflblack:

Been riding since March 17 (Happy St. Patricks Day). We have temps in the 40's and mostly sunny days of late. By this weekend, I will have my first 1000 miles of the season on :spyder2:.

Just love those daily trips to my mail box which is 2.5 blocks away. :roflblack::roflblack:

Gonna try and get mine out of storage tomorrow, last week I was blocked in by a boat and 2 landscaping trailers, just starting to clear roads here in upstate NY

The long road...??

Like the three doctors discussing tonsilectomies...first one says, I have the tonsils out in 20 minutes down the throat snip and out. The second one says, I can have them out in10 minutes and the adenoids as well, up the nose down the throat snip back up snip done. The third one says, gee takes us a couple hours, we come round back and take the long road...:roflblack:

Harriman

While helping stock trout in my county today, my buddy and I saw a GS the same color as mine Ryde by with NJ plates.. Anyone?

Maybe next week

If the weather doesn't do another dump on Massachusets, I hope to pick my new RT up from the dealer next week.

Finally got mine outof storage today and rode it home, 2 miles and then spent an hour cleaning it, installed battery tender and my lid lox. Now I am just waiting for temp to get a little warmer and all the salt off the roads

Sweet!

Great to hear Kwalsh!
I was lucky enough to get an hour ride in today. Brisk to sY the least but only on my hands. My Joe Rocket Ballistic jacket and pants kept me toasty. I did however experience some chill to my hands even though I had glove liners on. Should have went with the two piece Outdoor Research Mittens. Still a great Ryde.

yeah i forgot gloves when i picked mine up and even at 30 around town i knew it was going to be a short ride, i think i will spend monday looking at heated grips!!!!

First ride of the season

Lehigh Valley pa here....Took her out of the garage just to hear it run yesterday....Getting very anxious for the first real ride....
Gotta say the roads here are really torn -up gonna be a bit before some are rideable for me....Mainly back roads in Bucks county

Any others seeing that ?

Michigan Roads

Here in beautiful south-east Michigan the roads are always torn up. There is actually a special vote coming up to increase taxes to fix 'em up. Just have to swerve around the pot holes.

Northwestern part of the Hudson Valley here... ;)
But no riding yet; there's still too much salt on the roads.

We need a couple of good "Toad-Stranglers", to get them washed off... :banghead:

Was so close this past Sunday, and thought NO. Only late March. Tons of sandblast material on the roads. Roads themselves are at worst THE SH***. If a cop was behind you , get pulled over for sure suspecting impairment, AND YOU ARE JUST AVOIDING the freaking potholes. As much as I want to , will have to wait.
