• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First ride...

So after a somewhat restless final night, I picked up my 2012 RS this morning and could not be happier!

My friend came with me to drive behind me and be a 'blocker', but the problem was he wanted Starbucks, which was not on my planned route home. After some deliberation I agreed and we were off.

My original route was pretty much a straight shot on a 2 lane road, not too hilly or curvy, but unfortunately to get the mocha he desired meant about 2 miles on highway. Needless to say I was a bit apprehensive at first, this is my first bike and I only road a couple hours around parking lot prior.

I am not sure if it was adrenaline or just instinct kicking in, but I am so glad I did that leaving the dealership. I felt so comfortable and almost at ease as the on ramp approached and my odometer started to inch towards 65 mph.

Upon arriving at our destination a sports car club was having a gathering and I could not have been more proud that I had just accomplished one of my fears in a matter of hours after taking possession. The looks and smiles toward me almost felt like my own little victory lap.

I truly do not feel that I would have done this without the many hours I spent this week looking at post, videos, etc from all my fellow SpyderLovers.

What a great community.
