• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

pick up my new 2014 rss se5 spyder 2/12/14, rode it home about 4 miles,I been riding motocycles for over 53 years, I kept trying to lean it and was putting my feet down old habits are hard forget, I put it away big storm was come I am in ny, after the snow clears up I will try to get the know how to ride it and get comfortable with it, about how many miles will it take to get comfortable with :pray:

It takes awhile if you're a die hard 2 wheeler. Relax, take it easy, and get used to it. Once you realize that it's you and not the Spyder, you'll start to have fun. After that it is just a complete blast to ride.

Also just an FYI dont man handle the bars just keep a light grip on them and the spyder will handle like a dream, The shocks are adjustable and should be set up to the riders prefrence for lean and dive if you dident get the upgraded sway bar the Ron bar is a must on the RSS.
I have the fox podium shocks adjusted firm and the Ron bar and it handles the curves like its on rails.
Congrats on the new
:ani29:

Congratulations..!!

I would realistically say 300/500 miles. The foot thing is fast the front brake a bit longer the leaning is a survival thing keeps you on the roadster. But you will have fun all the time learning and then after...enjoy..!! :ohyea::ohyea:

:congrats: on the new ryde. What the other posters are saying. It took me about 1000 miles to unlearn my 2-wheeler ways--but almost 100,000 miles later--I think I have pretty much figured it out.

There is an excellent thread on do's and don'ts for Spyder ryders, but I could not find it today. I did about a 10 minute search. I am guessing someone else will find it quicker and post it again.
