Rode 130 miles today. Our first ride. Made the pilgrimage to the one and only, Bob Denman. Spent some time with Bob and Kathy. It was the first time Ali and Kathy got together. They hit it off well which is great.
Now for the ride itself. The first leg was interstate. Wife couldn't wait to get off onto side roads. "Order that F4 right away". She said the buffeting was aweful. Her head was all over the place. I was fine with that tiny windshield. Who am I to argue. Will be calling Don tomorrow morning for an F4 for "Mushu". The seat we are hoping will get better. After 2 hours I was glad we finally got to Bob's office. Again she complained more than me. My butt hurts! "Get a better seat". We will try again tomorrow. She has modified a cushion to fit. I may try one also. We will see.
The handling was very good. It is faster than the RTS we had. The steering is quicker also. Maybe more responsive is a better word. The brakes are freaking awesome. The rear shock only had 16 lbs. in it. Pumped it up to 55, it seemed to ride great. Front shocks are way better than stock RTS. I may tighten them a click or two. Need to figure that out first. Looks like you need a spanner to do it. Took it through some twisties, handles fine.
The radio reception, SUCKS. IPOD works great. Sound is very good. Much better than the RTS. Dealer installed a battery tender plug with out me asking. So it's on the charger as we speak.
Lamont's LED headlight, and fog lights are awesome. Baja Rons sway bar does it's job well. Sorry this is long winded. :thumbup: Tom :spyder:
