First Rad Trip

I just returned from my first road trip on my 2016 F3T and have a few first impressions. The ride was awesome! 3100 trouble free miles! After being on two wheels for forty years it was a bit different but good. I wood prefer to be on two wheels in the mountains but made it work. The 1330 has plenty of power as I am 6'5 and 300lb and was pulling a trailer with no problem at all! Overall it was great except the oil is a complete PAIN in the ass to check. I would give it a

So where did your trip take you? The rule here is without pictures it didn't happen. :roflblack: As for checking the oil, the great thing about the 1330 is that it does not consume oil so you don't have to check it as often as you might have to on other bikes. I have an RT with 118,000 miles on it and have only had to add a tiny bit of oil on two occasions when I was a little overdue for a change. I don't even carry oil with me on trips.

First road trip and a good one at that. :agree: on the oil checking. We have several complaints on how hard it is to read the dipstick and most have gone to the press in on a paper towel and read the marking. Otherwise no oil usage...:thumbup:

Northern MN--as in the Boundary Waters area. They are referred to as the Misquah Hills. Highest "mountain" is Eagle Mtn--just off the Caribou Trail. It is 2,301 feet high. Been there on a day hike.

I might have thought of those as 'mountains' too before I moved to Utah. We live in a valley at 6600' and pretty much can't ride for a day in any direction without going over 9000' passes. Makes for great riding once the snow melts.

Yup! We now live in AK where the highest mountain in North America is Denali @ 23,000 feet and change. 10 times higher than in MN. Have not and do not intend to climb that one. We are surrounded my mountains where we live also. My current favorite rides include riding the passes. It does not get much better. :yes:
