• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First Oil Change

Tonight I did the 1000km service on my new to me 2012 Spyder RSS. Everything went smoothly except for all the bolts and panels that I had to undo just to get the job done. I do not own a torque wrench so I was extra careful when tightening everything back up. I fired it all back up and could not see any leaks. Very messy job though. Way messier than changing oil on my old Suzuki C50. Time will tell if I did everything right.

In time you will learn how to do it without a drop missing the oil recovery pan. It will take a lot of patience and a few oil changes to pickup on how to do it.

Actually it is easier than my BMW in terms of screws and body panels. All faired bikes are a pain in that department. You can't compare to a naked bike.

Sorry to disagree re all faired bike are a pain.. The access to oil and filter on a Goldwing are completely and easily accesable , not Tupperware to remove.

I suggest that nothing will ruin an engine more quickly than inaccessible oil change components ( slight overstatement). BRP are you listening?
