• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First New Dealer Test - Passed

Good information about making sure they have all the info they need in order to troubleshoot. Also about the parts and how long I should be willing to wait. So far I have been buying my oil filter change kits from krb1945 on this forum, and they are usually here within 2-3 days from when I place my order. :)

It's nice that he swapped out the shock for him but if he would of sprayed a little WD and jacked it up he could have saved himself a lot of trouble.

I say he get's a A for taking care of the customer but a D for adjusting the shocks.

I jacked mine up and sprayed more than a little WD still broke one step.
But I'm leaving it there. I don't intend to readjust them again. seems like the cams are made out of pot metal.

They certainly aren't forged steel, or hardened billet, are they!

SpyderWolf, I think you have found a dealer that cares about there customers. Any dealer that would take a Spyder off the showroom floor to use for parts, is a good indication to me that they are worth taking another look at and get more information about certified Spyder techs.

Normally it takes an act of God or rather a call from Carlo, to get a dealer to take a Spyder off the showroom floor to take a part off, for a customers Spyder in service.

Hello got a Q for you all this shock adjuster will it fit the RT-S to it looks to be the same thing

Yes, but my understanding is that it is made out of the same materials as your current ones - the finish is what is different. I cannot find the reference to that statement right now, but I think it was posted on the BRP site. I was going to buy a set until I read that.

Those are billet "machined" not cast.

My guess it they are 6061. The problem with a cast piece is they can have porous pockets in the casting. The ones I've seen break are really porous.

Mine was very porous, and the 2 halves felt like they could be broken again with a little extra effort.

Thanks again for all of the replies and suggestions everyone. :2thumbs:
