• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First mods to my Special - are factory fogs worth the $$?

IMHO they are not focused correctly ..... good luck .... Mike

I would look that up and make the adjustments, but I would also hope that as much money that I paid for those that they would of adjusted them during the install. That's the main reason I paid extra to have them installed when I bought the bike.

And considering who I bought the bike from has a Platinum certification that they would of done it right. I guess another thing to add to my list when I take it in for it's first service.

#1. - from what I have learned over the years here ( since 2011 ) " platinum" or any other Dealer rating is almost entirely based on BRP Products Sales !!! .... Service is not in the mix ...... and #2.- poor dealer service is the norm not the exception .... I personally have had Bad experience using Dealer service, and have been doing my own maintenance etc. .... good luck .... Mike

Thanks for the advice, I have had Jet ski's for over 10 years that never saw a dealers mechanic but then again there was a whole lot less to maintain. These are a lot more of a complicated beast to take on. Once I have more knowledge about it I'll be swinging those wrenches.

Troop - Got the switch, I call it the "make the car in front of me go slow switch" :roflblack:

Every time I press it all of the cars in front of me start hitting their brake lights. Even the "Big Boys" with their lifted trucks seem to hate these fog lights.

And on 2 lane roads at night, About every 3rd car from oncoming traffic flashes their high beams thinking I have my high beams on.

Fender came in. It's just sitting on a foam block. I just wanted to make sure the grey will look right. Definitely getting it painted. 20210506_163730_copy_2000x934.jpg

Trying to find the dupont formula for the paint code. I either have to find a shop that uses ppg or paint it black. I really want it gray

It has been re-ported that BRP has made the Fog lights better so investigate that first ...... otherwise I'd buy some DRL's from Denali ( about the same cost ).... they make night into DAY .... good luck .... Mike

Not the Denalis, but was just checking my LED lumens output for the LED headlights and foglights I installed in 2015. At the time, the ones I installed were far brighter than Tricled offered, Lamonster had not released his as of then, but mine were still more Lumens.

Was just researching the currently available LEDs from the same manufacturer I got them from before. No plans to change, but 6 or so years of increased lumen output, I could go from our current 12,800 lumens to 19,200 lumens. Ironic to think, the masses here previously were endorsing as super bright, Tricled headlights and foglights, that had issues burning out, and offered under 8000 lumens.

I bought the Arc LED Daytime Running Light / Fog Light from SlingMods for my 2021 F3 Ltd and I go to install and find wiring already in place. The switch plugs in fine but the lights harness doesn’t have the same connectors. Is there a way to install these or do I have to get the BRP lights? Thanks

Update: I figured it out and got them installed. Now for the LED headlights, Frunk nose light, and a few other goodies!

Just a word of caution - if oncoming cars are flashing you and cars you follow hit their brakes (and your high beams are not on) - your accessory lights are aimed way too high. And that can be just as dangerous as as not having enough light. Even the brightest lights, properly aimed, shouldn't blind people. I love a ton of light and had Baja Design Squadron Pros on my GS Adventure and Denali D7s (monster bright lights) on my Goldwing - and they didn't blind anyone (unless they were on full power). I ran them at 50% as DRLs and on full power on high beam. Be Safe, Be Seen (and Be Careful)!
