• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First long rider on new Spyder.

The wife and I just returned from our first long ride of 3 days in length on our new Spyder RT-S. Having read a lot on here about mpg, heat and other things, we were looking forward to seeing how she did. A little rain each day here in southern and central Maine from Cornish to Moosehead Lake but it was good. Averaged temps 50-75 over the trip. No over heat issues. 30+ mpg burning 91 octane which as high as I can buy. Very happy with the bike! The ride is very nice. One note if I may; Beaded seat cushions are great. I bought one for each of us and we love them. Not sure if I can mention the name on here so I won't until someone tells me I can but I recommend them. I bought what appears to be some sort of plastic or ceramic beaded ones but they also make the traditional wood(?) ones too. Very impressed.:D

welcome

Welcome, product names are mentioned all the time, along with links etc.

The company is BeadRider. Web site is beadrider.com. Total thumbs up from my point of view.
The BeadRider is especially amazing in blazing hot weather (the ceramic one that is) because it allows air flow under you and keeps you very comfortable

Good to hear..!!

glad you both had a treat trip and the roadster did well. You got great mileage by the standards here..thanks for the tip on the beaded seat covers...:thumbup::ohyea:

Myron, wife and I where in your area Sunday. Do you have a blue Spyder? May have seen you in Newport on Sunday afternoon.

safecracker; I do have a blue one. I don't think I was in Newport any time recently. I wave to all spyders I see. So here is one for you if I missed you:dg2:
