• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First Highway Trip

Took my first short trip on the highway. Decided it was time since I've had the :spyder2: since July and have been avoiding it. Went to Freedom Rock just outside of Greenfield IA.

:congrats: wolfee, Now get out there and do some more ryding and take advantage of this nice IA weather before it turns cold. You got some nice country roads in your area, and stay off the Interstate till you're comfortable with that beautiful machine. :2thumbs:

:congrats: on your first trip. I must be the exception as I feel safer on the expressway than on two lane roads. But that being said, I don't think I would enjoy I80 through Iowa on a Spyder. That is one semi intense (pun intended) expressway.

Have fun.

:congrats:

The more you ryde the more comfortable you become with the handling of your Spyder. Keep on practicing and you will be hitting the interstates in no time.

Wolfee,
The wife and I also took a ride to the Freedom Rock today. Sorry we missed you. Would of been great to meet a fellow Spyder rider. Did about 200 miles all backroads looking at the trees changing.

It wasn't a bad first trip, just a lot of semi's that made me a little nervous. Trying to get ready for a trip back home to Michigan to visit as wells as the :spyder2: events in Cuba and the Smokies. . My brother is in Wixom MI.
