• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First highway ride; still grinning

I went for a short (unfortunately) ride at highway speed for the first time just now, and all I can say is  WOW! This wasn't the freeway, just a regular road, but WOW! I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but it was so much more enjoyable than riding at that speed on my little Harley Sportster, much as I loved that bike. Shifted like a dream (thank goodness I now know the proper shift points) and handled like one, too. When it got up to 55, it was like sitting in an easy chair watching the world go by---with a tropical storm blowing in the open window, of course, but that's fine. I can tell this is going to be FUN! Longer ride tomorrow.

Sorry for the gushing, but I had to "vent.":D

Ride time

I got my RT in Oct. 2015. My wife has brought to my attention that the little trips to the store are taking significantly longer than they used to. I hope she doesn't send me to the store for ice cream. The end result may not please her.

:D I know what you mean (now). I think I'm going to go to the grocery a lot more often. Can you put a bowling ball (in a bag) in the frunk?

I feel that way every time I ryde. When I first got my :ani29:, I had a post about running errands on her just to have an excuse to ryde! I got replies about many folks doing the same thing.

Well, I can certainly understand any excuse, but being a widower and retired, I don't need an excuse. I just get out and go whenever I want to.

Ditto. My errand mileage has mysteriously quadrupled per trip, plus, now I grocery shop for just one item at a time. :D
