• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Finding reasons run errands with my byke!

I noticed that I have been finding any reason to get on my new byke to run my errands. Yesterday, we went to the park, the mall, post office, and gas station. I almost took her to my dentist appointment!

Then we attended "ladies night" together at my local Harley dealer ;). It was so lovely out, I was surprised that only a couple of us ladies rode up!

Anyways, I'm chiming in because I want to say that I love my ryde!!

Oh no:

That obsession to ride is a disease many of us have. The only known cure is to RIDE.:yes::yes:

As I see it...

You will never run out of exuses... you may run out of Road, you may run out of daylight, you may even run out of gas....but you will never run out of excuses...:ohyea::ohyea:

The spyder is great for running errands, much better than my sport bike which has enough storage for about oh....nothing!

Yes, this exactly.

Yesterday, I had three bags of purchases plus my gear in her. Today, more of the same but I added a few groceries!

it could get expensive finding reasons to go shop just to ride!

Wait until you discover that the best places for pie and coffee, are at least 125 miles from you! :D :2thumbs:

Lol! My dad was already trying to get me to ride somewhere for that! I would have, but I'm not totally comfortable in the dark away from home...yet...

Another SL poster struck by "erranditis." :roflblack:

If we are going to catch something, farkleitis and erranditis are two that I am okay with.

I love the daily mailbox run (2.5 blocks) that usually turns into a hundred miles or so. I have five scenic roads that I usually alternate on depending on the day of the week or the whim of the moment. Also know each and every stop within a radius of 125 miles or so.

In season, I am able to put on the miles. Riding the :spyder2: is one of the things that keeps me going.

A top case will fit a couple of pies, each side case will fit a bag of groceries, and the frunk will fit a dozen beverages with a bag of ice!

We don't ride for pie & coffee but for lunch if it is not at least 75 miles away it is just too close. Nothing like a 350 mile day for lunch then ice cream and of course the long way home.

As mentioned before in another thread I've done 550km (342 miles) when "just popping out to get some milk".

I also used to work from home and found the commute on my Spyder in the mornings would often take 2 or more hours.

Always looking for a reason as well... Have a blast! Tackle the night thing by being out in places you are very familiar with first... Then get comfy and expand.

Oh and watch out for soda, a pin hole leak can make a high mess!
Thank you one and all for expressing your affliction of erranditis. I've had it my whole life it seems. B just makes it better than any other ryde I've owned.

I have gone grocery shopping at WalMart several times on my Spyder. It's amazing how much stuff you can "stuff" into a Spyder!
