• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Finding open recalls on my RT

Could you tell me if there is a place where I can verify any recalls or campaigns that would be applicable to my RT other than relying on my dealer ?:dontknow:

My 2 cents worth. look on this forum. The members on this forum have great news and views and lots of technical expertise to help out people. Most technical knowledge is way better than most dealers. There are several recall notices posted on this forum too.:chat:

On the home page after the sponsors and online users, Lamonster has a list of the recalls BRP has sent involving both RS and RT while on the market.;)

There have only been two recalls for the RT...the ignition switch wiring on a few early units, and the DPS. All other items would be warranty campaigns or technical service bulletins. These would only apply if you are actually having the problems addressed...or in the case of the belt tension or retorquing the front sprocket, are having service performed. Any software updates would be also be done at the time of service. Some of these issues were addressed before the Spyders ever were sold.

Your best bet is still to have a dealer look up you VIN# or attach your Spyder to BUDS. Any of these items previously done will be listed. Any across-the-board fixes will be shown as waiting. Warranty campaigns will not show...and will not be addressed unless your Spyder shows the symptoms of those issues.

... and here I was hoping to find a way to plug in to some really good insider information... The TSBs would be really useful since it's always good to know more about your bike than anybody thinks that you know... :D
