• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The first F3 released in New Zealand, and I picked it up yesterday. Absolutely love it, and looking forward to
a lot of kms to learn more about this beast.

Congratulations..!!

That is one fine looking machine..must be the envy of all New Zelanders...:2thumbs:

exhaust?

Nice, Colin. Enjoy! Just a quick query - in Oz we couldn't have the nice short exhaust (ie muffler) and had to have a long one ... what kind did your regulators let you have? Looks brilliant.

Thanks Lois, we get the same exhaust as you did in Australia, I don't like the look of the new Akrapovic either, too shiny for me.
My dealer, that I work for on Saturdays had an Akrapovic off a 3 cylinder RT on the shelf, so we decided to see if it fits, and it did, just a slight mod needed on the heat shield, gives it a nice tone, but cant comment on whether performance is better, as I had only done around 80kms before changing the pipe.
I can honestly say the F3 has exceeded my expectations, and I love it, whether you want to cruise or have a play, it performs.

Colin, that RT muffler really suits the F3 - I agree about your 'too shiny' comment. Jeff is really enjoying the ride on his F3 too - I think he'll let me have a turn soon... I think BRP really got it right with this model!

I definitely like the look more than the stock muffler, or the shiny Akrapovic.
Jeff may be too scared to let you ride it, as he then may have to get you one lolol.
I think they have, but definitely need a screen, as Im a bigger guy and catch a lot of wind lolol
probably the only negative for me, but its not really the F3s fault lolol

Well after over a week of some very bad weather, I woke up on Sunday morning to a beautiful day, so called some friends and an hour later 6 of us hit the road for a ride.
The F3 is a very different beast to my ST, and I love it. But definitely need a screen. I moved the footpegs forward to 4 and it is very comfortable, but I think I need the long reach bars to be totally happy.
We rode 300kms, which is just short of 200miles. A couple of pics below from our ride
