• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Finally test drove!!

Took an hour off early from work just to test drive the Spydie!! :clap:Took the Harley Rider's Edge class almost two years ago...had a blast. Thinking about getting a bike...but I'm a 52 yr old female and safety is a major concern cause if I buy a bike you can believe I will be on it alot. Found the Spyder a couple of months ago and have enjoyed this website for making a decision to try it. I was nervous and almost talked myself out of the test drive because it was on a busy road in 5:00 traffic! I didn't think 2 days on a Harley Buell in a parking lot qualified me for this adventure!!:yikes:
But...I am determined to have fun for once in my life (all I've done is work, work, work since the age of 13). I was up to 60 mph in no time flat, shifted down to ease over a train track crossing....all the while remembering the conversations on here about oversteering (holding on too tight) and the floating feeling on the straightaways which, by the way, I did experience. I felt totally safe and was appreciative of the power it has. I was taken on a very curvy road and found myself doing 55 around 45 mph posted curves! with no problems. Give me two weeks on this thing to "learn" it completely and me and the Spydie will be one. Now.... I just have to make the moolah thing happen!! Lovin it!!

Do it! My wife is 54 and never rode except behind me. Saw the Spyder, bought it without so much as a test ride, then took her MSF on two wheels, got familiar with the Arachnid in a parking lot a few times, and hit the road. She loves it, and sticks right witho me on my BMW going down the road and through the twisties now. You owe it to yourself to get one. You will not regret it. She wondered why she waited so long, but then realized they had to invent the perfect ride for her, first. So glad she didn't buy that Piaggio MP3 scooter.
