• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Finally Received My Welcome Package

You are doing better than me

I bought my 2010 in August and still do not have it!:dontknow:

:thumbup:Today I received my welcome package from BRP. Not bad - patch, pin, catalog, photo was kewl. And now since I am a registered member I can let my membership in gwrra run out and still get the discount for membership in an organization from progressive.

Be Safe

this seems to be an area that needs work, with BRP/Can Am.

a welcome packet is only sent to the first registered owner. and if you purchased a DEMO...?; you are the SECOND owner, according to BRP/Can Am.

after FIVE months, I called to check on mine, and was informed of this policy. I blew a fuse! I wasn't nasty to Dameon (Cust. Svc. ); but I told him this was a POOR PR policy and needed tobe adjusted accordingly.

a week later I received a call from another Cust. Svc. rep; who informed me my packet was in the mail. it arrived the day before Maggie Valley kicked off; which prevented me from being able to register, since I was not an owner.

so if you bought a demo... make the call and voice your concern about a needed policy change; and better processing time. it might be something that can be resolved if enough owners inform BRP/Can Am.

Just picked up my spyder 2 weeks ago. Didnt even know there was a welcome package. Looking forward to getting it.

bought the RT 4-12-11
received the packet 6-23-11

maybe they ship them out quarterly........instead of monthly. might explain why some take longer than others.

Good info to have. Guess I got a call to make Monday.:sour:

I assume this is for new purchases ? Those of us that buy used don't get neat stuff like that

I bought new on 1st March and didn't get a pin or a patch, just a quantity of vouchers which I'm supposed to use to persuade my fellow-Europeans to buy a Spyder. For every customer handing in one of my vouchers BRP will give me 250 Euro's. Like hell I'll be pestering folks on which steed they should ride, the vouchers got thrown out with the garbage. BRP are treating Spyder sales like a :cus: soap powder promo. They should smarten up their act over here, a guy's wheels are a personal thing as well as a big investment.

I got my :spyder2: RT Limited April 18 and got my welcome package on June 20.
I was looking in the Can-Am Spyder book on page 41. There is a front cargo light that comes standard on RT Limited models, but I did not get the light with my :spyder2:. I called the dealer and he did not know of a light and told me that it would have come with the bike from the shop, and he would look in to this. Did any one else get the front cargo light with their RT Limited?

Paid for the 2011 Oribital blue Spyder rts May 7th
Picked up May 14th
Still nothing from BRP but we did get 2 Thank you Cards from our dealer
