• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Finally, ready to ride!

I picked up the Spyder on Friday, as it had been in "winter storage" at Palmer's since mid-December.
Yea, I know, what winter, well at least it was in a nice warm area with a tender on the battery.

The rear tire(12,9969 mi) was lacking the required tread to pass inspection, so..... I rode home, removed the rear tire, and waited till Saturday morning to take it back and have a new tire mounted. Sometime last year I had ordered a set(3) of Sumitomo HTR 200 tires for the Spyder, as I knew the rear would need changing before starting a new year. By the way , the front tires(originals) are in great shape and should last till 25-30,000 miles. I had had a slight issue with uneven tire wear, but caught it early and made a correcting "toe" adjustment.

So, new tire mounted, 3oz. of dyna-beads added and back home I go.
This morning I reinstalled the tire, checked belt alignment and tension. The Krikit II showed 180-190, so I believe I'm ready for a new year, pending an inspection next Saturday.

Ride safe all,

Bill Pitman

Thanks bill, never had a bike before so I went to check the process in NJ. To my delight they stopped inspections in 2010. Self inspections only!

money maker>>>>?

NJ did away with inspections, but it may become a money maker for the state.
I believe it is now the responsiblity of the owner to make sure all is OK with the vehicle.
If you are stopped and a problem is found, fines will follow!?

Bob O. have you any info on this?
