• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have had my Class "M" on my license for 12 years and three differnent states and 7 bikes. For the last 12 years I have been trying to get the Mrs. to get her own endorsement and eventually a bike, she was tought the basics and could move my bike when needed. I got my Spyder just over a month ago, when I brought it home she climbed right on and asked "how do I make it go?" she rode up and down our road, backed it back in and said "in a few years you'll have to get a new one b/c this one will be mine".

fast forward a few weeks...

I found the MSCV (motorcycle safety course of VA) website and told her pick the dates and I will pay for your class. Wouldn't you know, every weekend they listed, she already has plans. That's everyone but this one anyways. She took Friday off and is FINALLY getting her class M, albeit M3, this weekend.

congrats, I think :dontknow: You could be looking for new bike for you in the near future. :roflblack:

Great..!!

Mine just wants to drive but what she does when trying the manual shift car scares me as to where we will end up on the roadster. Maybe a automatic but would work but I can't have two and I am not the automatic type...she really wants to ryde with me anyway and we do have fun on the open road. Good luck I see a new machine coming your way...

got a while

I have a while before I can afford another Spyder. possibly a small two wheeler for me to ride when she is on the spyder so we can ryde together. I would love to be able to afford a second one but that's not in the cards right now.

then again all that can change should she decide that she really LOVES the spyder like I do. My spyder is the SE5, and my wife drives a manual car just fine, we've owned and still own, several over the years.

:congrats: & :agree: with the rest.

I've always stated that I created a "monster" with my wife. At first, she didn't care if I got it until she got to try it with the dealer's owner riding it and her as a passenger. After our first Spyderfest, she wanted to get the endorsement. After she took the MSF's course, she got promoted in her line of work and wanted her own RS-S.

That is how it starts...;)

Congrats on taking the trike class. She will never look back! Have her join GOS (Girls on Spyders). A great group of supportive and knowledgeable female spyder ryders and enthusiasts.

Great Class

Well worth the money....took mine a couple of weeks ago and got my endoresement last week! Very infromative class.

Good for her!

Congrats

Been trying to get my wife to do the same. She says she would rather I do the driving...she's too busy looking at the sights. What part of Virginia are you in? Maybe I could have your wife talk to mine!!!! And while she's at it, tell her to ask my wife "Where is my wallet?!?!" (Inside joke for those who know me);)

...Next thing you know; your "HOney-Do" list will include instructions for washing and waxing HER Spyder! :D

On the positive side of the equation; it does make it easier to buy presents for her!

Just give the BRP Accessories Catalog to her!
If you say; "Whatever you want, Honey"; it tends to distract them for hours! :2thumbs:

I'd like my wife to get her license too, just in case something happened to me she can move and/or ride the bike somewhere if need be. Just makes sense.

.

Maybe she figures that her boyfriend already has a motorcycle endorsement on his license! :roflblack: :joke::joke::joke::joke::joke::joke::joke:
